Delivery Fuel Levy Update
Earlier this month, Turfco removed its temporary Delivery Fuel Levy after fuel prices eased.
Since then, the Federal Government’s temporary fuel excise relief has ended, and diesel prices have increased significantly. As a business that relies heavily on transport and logistics, these increases have once again had a direct impact on our delivery costs.
To help offset these additional transport costs while continuing to provide reliable service, we have reinstated our temporary Delivery Fuel Levy.
How It Works
The Delivery Fuel Levy applies to all turf orders that include delivery, including turf installation orders.
The levy varies depending on your delivery location, increasing in line with the distance travelled from our farm to help recover a portion of the additional fuel costs associated with transportation.
Delivery Fuel Levy
- Zone 1: $25
- Zone 2: $50
- Zone 3: $75
- Zone 4: $100
- Zone 5: $125

This approach allows us to distribute the additional transport costs fairly based on delivery distance, rather than applying a flat fee across all orders.
Our Commitment
We understand that any additional charge affects our customers, which is why this levy remains a temporary measure.
Earlier this month, we removed the levy as soon as fuel prices eased. Unfortunately, with diesel prices rising again, we have needed to reinstate it to help offset the increased cost of transporting turf across our delivery network.
Our priority remains to:
- Maintain reliable and on-time deliveries.
- Continue providing the quality products and service our customers expect.
- Avoid compromising our operational standards while managing rising transport costs.
Ongoing Review
Fuel prices remain unpredictable, and we will continue to monitor them closely.
- The Delivery Fuel Levy will be reviewed on a fortnightly basis.
- Adjustments may be made if fuel prices increase or decrease.
- If transport costs reduce to sustainable levels, the levy will be reduced or removed accordingly.
