Lawn Solutions Sedge Control – 25g

Lawn Solutions Sedge Control can be used for selective post-emergence control of Nutgrass and Mullumbimby Couch in turf. Can also be used for selective post-emergence control of Nutgrass in Sugarcane, Corn/Maize and Sorghum.

How Lawn Solutions Sedge Control Works

• Weed foliage and seed head gradually turns yellow until total desiccation (death) occurs.
• Initial symptoms appear in 7-10 days with full weed control effects appearing over 4 to 6 weeks. Covers up to 1900 sqm

Application Timing

Nutgrass: Apply when new leaf growth is greater than 5cm (usually Spring / Summer).

Mullumbimby Couch: Apply when new leaf growth is greater than 2cm (usually Spring / Summer).

• Apply when weeds are actively growing.
• Apply follow-up treatments as required if sufficient new growth warrants weed control.
• Growth is greatest of both weeds following rainfall events.
• Drought stress after treatment may reduce control.

TIP 1: Mix one cap of household dishwashing liquid or Manta Ray Surfactant (follow label rates) into your prepared Sedge Control (follow label rates) to help effectively penetrate the leaf of the weed/invasive grass. This addition enhances the uptake of herbicides, allowing them to effectively penetrate leaves, without causing damage to non-target plants.

TIP 2: You should apply herbicides such as Sedge Control when temperatures are lower than 25 degrees Celsius; ideally in the early morning or late afternoon. Avoid applying products in the middle of the day when the sun is at its hottest. When products are applied when the sun is at its hottest, you are more likely to experience some burning to the leaf.
