Canberra has a dry climate with warm to hot summers and cool to cold winters. Canberra winters are generally quite chilly with heavy fog and frequent frosts.
For a true lawn for life, we strongly recommend sustainable warm-season turf varieties such as Sir Walter DNA Certified Buffalo, TifTuf Hybrid Bermuda, and Eureka Kikuyu as opposed to costly cool-season varieties such as Fescue. Although warm season grasses such as Sir Walter DNA Certified Buffalo & TifTuf Hybrid Bermuda lose colour over the winter months, they are still highly recommended as a low maintenance, premium quality grass that requires less watering and is far less likely to incur weeds.
If winter colour is a priority you can simply colour the grass artificially using our environmentally friendly non-toxic Colourguard Plus for 3 months of protection & a natural green colour.
