OUR TURF LAYING + ROLLING SERVICE
Our turf laying service requires a prepared surface prior to our arrival. If you are after assistance with your area preparations, please contact us and we can refer one of our preferred landscapers who can assist.
Arriving on one of Turfco rigid trucks, your turf will be carefully delivered to your prepared area. For your convenience, our turf installers will be there to lay your new lawn the same day it’s delivered.
All our trucks are equipped with all-terrain forklifts, transporting the turf off our trucks to your yard, and then removing the turf from the pallet using a push-off bar so there are no pallets left on site. Our forklifts are available as part of our delivery service whether you choose own turf laying service or not.
If the access points to the area where your new lawn is going to be laid is less than the dimensions of our forklift (2.5m wide & 2.5m high), we’ll use our wheelbarrows to transport the turf all the way to site.
Note: If stairs or any other hazardous obstacles are in the access path, we’re unable to conduct the laying service due to safety reasons. Please contact us for more information.

WHAT’S INCLUDED IN OUR LAYING SERVICE?
- We’ll lay your turf on the prepared turf underlay. For more information on how to best prepare your area for a new lawn, click here.
- We’ll cut in and around the edges of required turf rolls to match the shape of your area.
- We’ll roll your lawn using a heavy roller. This step encourages root to soil contact, removes any air pockets or unevenness throughout your lawn, and improves early aesthetic appeal!
- Better yet, purchase a bucket of our Lawn Launcher Starter Fertiliser and we’ll spread it for free before laying your turf. A mixture of jelly-like water crystals that expand when in contact with water, and slow-release granular fertiliser. This product is spread on top of your turf underlay to go beneath your turf to help with overall establishment and water retention within the turf root system.
- If the yard is complex, we recommend being on site when our team is there or clearly marking out where turf must be laid to save any confusion.
- Before your turf laying day, we require photos of the access points and all areas where the turf will be laid to show the Turfco team members who will be laying your new lawn.
